Based in Fishers, IN, we offer a unique opportunity to do your life’s best work, shape the future, and share in the success.

 The Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of robotic systems for Arrive Points — enabling seamless drone, courier, and autonomous vehicle interactions. You’ll own the robotics layer that powers package handling, access, and automation across the ALM platform.

This role will be deeply hands-on, combining mechanism design, actuator selection, control architecture, and sensor integration. You’ll also help architect centralized multi-zonal control systems, ensuring robotics features can scale as Arrive Points evolve from single-unit products to networked, intelligent infrastructure

 What You’ll Do:

  • Design Robotic Mechanisms: Develop actuators, linkages, and motion systems for automated package handling and access control.
  • Engineer Control Systems: Build control architectures for multi-axis systems, exploring centralized multi-zonal control approaches as the platform scales.
  • Design Digitally First: Use CAD, simulation tools, and digital prototypes to concept, validate, and iterate designs before physical builds — accelerating development and reducing costly revisions.
  • Integrate Robotics Seamlessly: Combine robotics hardware with sensors, AI, and IoT for intelligent, responsive systems.
  • Prototype & Iterate: Build, test, and refine robotic prototypes, ensuring reliability, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Optimize Performance: Improve speed, precision, and energy efficiency of robotics for demanding logistics environments.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure all subsystems work as a cohesive product.
  • Infuse AI into Robotics: Enable AI-driven behavior by integrating algorithms for adaptive control, perception, and decision-making into robotic hardware.
  • Explore Emerging Tech: Research and evaluate next-gen actuators, sensors, and robotics technologies to push product capabilities forward.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Robotics Experience: 5+ years in robotics engineering for hard-tech products, automation systems, or consumer/industrial robotics.
  • Simulation-Driven Mindset: Experience using digital modeling, CAD, and simulation as core tools for design exploration, optimization, and rapid iteration.
  • Technical Skills: Strong foundation in control systems, kinematics, motion planning, and simulation tools
  • Actuator Expertise: Hands-on experience with actuator design, integration, and control (motors, servos, linear actuators).
  • Sensor Integration: Experience with sensors for perception, safety, and control feedback
  • Multi-Zonal Control Knowledge: Familiarity with or interest in centralized multi-zonal control architectures is a big plus
  • AI + Robotics Integration: Proven experience embedding AI algorithms into robotics systems to enable perception, adaptive behavior, and autonomy.
  • Cross-Functional Comfort: Skilled collaborator with ME, EE, and systems engineers, aligning robotics with the larger product.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical and inventive — thrives on solving real-world robotics challenges in logistics and automation.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with rapid iteration and experimental workflows in a startup environment.

Additional:

  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month.
